Whether you’re looking for a last minute deal to Malta this February, or want to plan your May half-term holiday in advance, get excited with our single parent deals:
For travel without the hassle, head to Qawra in Malta where you’re around half an hour from the airport so you and your child can instantly seek out the sun and relax. You’ll want to spend time at Mellieha Bay, a beach with a dramatic coastline that’s popular for sunbathing and tick ‘sandcastle building’ off your holiday hit-list. The promenade is perfect for a stroll, so enjoy an ice-cream treat here before spending an afternoon at Bugibba’s Bird Park; get up-close with flamingos and see some cheeky meerkats!
The deal: Fly from Leeds Bradford International Airport to Malta on the 16/02/14 for seven nights of Maltese sunshine at the 4* Soreda Hotel, all inclusive for just £282pp. One Adult + one child.
Calella, Costa Brava
Like the sound of browsing Spanish boutiques without the noise of traffic? Well, Calella has a pedestrianised shopping street where colourful Spanish souvenirs won’t be hard to find. If you and your children enjoy a bit of history as well as lazy days at the beach, take in the beautiful Church of Santa Maria and Saint Nicolau that’s right in the centre of town. With two kids in hand, start getting that photo album together at the resort’s landmark lighthouse.
The deal: Thinking ahead to spring? Fly from Stansted Airport to Barcelona on the 24/05/14 for seven nights of fun at the 3* Hotel HTOP Olympic, bed and breakfast for just £250pp. One adult + two children.
Benidorm, Costa Blanca
Benidorm doesn’t really need an introduction; it’s famous for 5km of beaches and having over 1,000 restaurants, making it a busy spot with lots to do for kids. While you might want to ditch the standard karaoke evening in favour of hotel entertainment, still check out the main promenade for good priced meals to fuel-up without overspending. Not a fan of seafood? There are plenty of British staples for a taste of home. You’re bound to take a dip, so know the waters here are clean and safe; whack on some armbands – for the kids, not you – and make some memories to Instagram.
The deal: Fly from East Midlands Airport to Alicante on the 25/05/14 for seven nights at the 4* Hotel Los Dalmatas, bed and breakfast for just £279pp. One adult + two children.
Costa Del Silencio, Tenerife
This part of Tenerife is all about quality time with the kids, where you can just unwind and take in the sea breeze. They’ll get their dose of vitamin D as the sun will definitely shine in May, while they’ll be thrilled by the different red and black volcanic rocks and sands. Take a seat at a seafront café and watch the world – and some surfers – go by! If you all want to make a splash yourselves, get active in Playa de las Americas at the famous Siam Park waterpark. Although, if you don’t want to spend too much cash on entrance fees – it can add up for three – take the kids to the nearby village of Galletas and stroll through the charming streets.
The deal: Fly from Stansted Airport to Tenerife South on the 24/05/14 for seven nights at the 3* Alborada Beach Club, all inclusive for just £387pp. One adult + two children.
